Social Psychology from Salem Witch Trials to 21st Century
Several people have brought up the Milgram experiment in conversation recently.
Stanley Milgram was a Yale professor who designed an experiment to see if Americans would be as compliant to “following orders” as Germans were during the 1930s and 40s. However, he setup his subjects cleverly to believe the experiment was something different:
The subject and the actor arrived at the session together. The experimenter told them that they were taking part in "a scientific study of memory and learning", to see what the effect of punishment is on a subject's ability to memorize content. Also, he always clarified that the payment for their participation in the experiment was secured regardless of its development. The subject and actor drew slips of paper to determine their roles. Unknown to the subject, both slips said "teacher". The actor would always claim to have drawn the slip that read "learner", thus guaranteeing that the subject would always be the "teacher".
Next, the teacher and learner were taken into an adjacent room where the learner was strapped into what appeared to be an electric chair. The experimenter, dressed in a lab coat in order to appear to have more authority, told the participants this was to ensure that the learner would not escape.[1] In a later variation of the experiment, the confederate would eventually plead for mercy and yell that he had a heart condition.[9] At some point prior to the actual test, the teacher was given a sample electric shock from the electroshock generator in order to experience firsthand what the shock that the learner would supposedly receive during the experiment would feel like.1
Even when the learner-confederate (who was only pretending to receive shocks) screamed in pain, begged for mercy and then, more ominously, went silent, the two out of three teacher-subjects continued to administer shocks at a higher voltage (into the red) because of a “wrong answer” just because the man in the white coat told them to. Remember, the test subject met and socialized briefly with the confederate in the waiting room and then believed they had drawn a random slip of paper assigning roles, i.e. it could have been them in the hot seat receiving the shocks. The subject also saw the “learner” strapped into the chair so knew he could not escape the shocks.
In my conversations, my friends said to me that they have hope that the one out of three who resisted the orders from the man-in-the-white-coat will somehow change the course of public health in America where vaccines for Covid and other ailments are continuing to be aggressively marketed despite evidence of harm and lack of efficacy.
I’m a bit more skeptical.
In the Milgram experiment, there was no down side to walking away from that small room. In real life, when Boards of Health and others in position of authority tell citizens they “believe” in vaccinations and will continue to promote them however they can, they do so because their positions and paychecks are dependent on doing so. Walking away isn’t so easy for them; they are innately biased.
Even worse, when friends and family who have pilloried you and cut you out of their lives are faced with evidence that they were wrong and you were right, they turn away with a knee jerk denial of the facts because they cannot admit they inflicted such a grievous wrong on you. It is easier for them to continue to prop up their righteous image of themselves than admit their sin.2
It doesn’t matter that you or your family has experienced vaccine injuries resulting in disability, financial hardship or death. They, like the Salem witch trial magistrates and Milgram subjects, wrap themselves in the cloak of self-righteousness.
Consistent with narcissistic traits and warped world-view, they are willfully blind to your real suffering and believe it is your fault if you suffer from their shunning of you simply because you are you, not them- luck of the draw.
I posit that what we are experiencing today is much like the Witch Fever that gripped Salem, Massachusetts in 1692-1693. Educated, righteous men felt duty-bound to humiliate, torture and execute their neighbors and friends based on “spectral evidence” which was nothing more than the hysterical rantings of mostly young girls. Although the girls eventually admitted to play-acting, most of those in positions of authority never expressed remorse for their actions.
The accused in Salem were initially the socially marginalized or difficult members of the community, but ultimately included well-to-do people known for their kindness, piety and goodwill like 71-year-old Rebecca Nurse. The frail and ailing Mistress Nurse was hung on July 19, 1692 protesting her innocence before a crowd of her neighbors.
Giles Corey refused to enter any plea which theoretically prevented his execution and in actuality preserved his estate for his family. He was pressed to death under a pile of rocks in an effort to get a plea out of him.
Some, but not many, Salem residents left town to avoid the hysteria. Since Boston was also swept up into the hysteria, Providence, Rhode Island and New York City which had different cultures were two refuges. This was similar to what happened in Europe as people with good sense fled the Nazis by crossing the Alps to Switzerland or Atlantic to America.
In my estimation, what is happening today shares threads with Nazism, Witch Hysteria and the white-coat compliancy demonstrated in the Milgram Experiment, but is stronger.
It is stronger for a few reasons:
The money involved, the obscene profits to be made from vaccine compliance (and fluoridation policy, the topic of next month’s post) are staggering. It’s not just the pharmaceutical companies, medical partners and political stakeholders who profit, public relations firms and a host of associated industries are enjoying big paydays from compliance with the sanctioned narrative that literally turns human bodies into receptacles for toxic waste that make us sick and therefore creates a secondary market for more drugs and profits.3, 4
Education and success breeds arrogance. Hubris rather than humility dominate our society which celebrates “confidence.”
The merger of medical practice with big medical center and Pharma has utterly enslaved hubris-filled doctors and nurses who remain both ignorant of facts and brainwashed by their training. Calley and Casey Means are just two of the whistleblowers on that topic.5
Compliance with organizational policy, coloring between the lines, and cultivating friends and mentors in high places, is the best way to get ahead in this highly technological and inter-connected world, even if it compromises integrity. Wherever she may be a week from today, this formula got Kamala Harris to where she is today, Halloween 2024.
With the corruption of the World Health Organization (WHO) that is promoting the ultimate power grab with the backing of billionaire players like Bill Gates6 and other elites including those in the duplicitous World Economic Forum (WEF), it is increasingly clear that, unlike residents of Salem, we can’t just move a hundred miles away to avoid injury.
SUMMARY:
Although I wrote that “not all narcissists are evil, even if they all do harm” in Dance with the Devil: Love in the Age of Covid, the grip of narcissistic players on their army of flying monkeys7 is such, that I’m beginning to believe that we are in a battle against more than “greed.” It is truly evil to discount the lives of those injured or killed by vaccines, to shun or otherwise punish someone who is injured or protests injustice, and to chose to “believe” in disproved hypothesis such as ‘vaccines make us healthier’ and ‘fluoride in water is good for us.’
It is an absolute evil to mandate compliance with medical interventions that restrict your ability to earn a living or violate your bodily autonomy. It is criminal to censor speech and deplatform scientists, doctors and ordinary Americans who talk from experience or report on science. It is diabolic to use psychological manipulation to gain compliance from the majority and marginalize the minority as has been done by the Biden/Harris administration. 8
The Devil walks among us, but we are fooling ourselves if at any point we think we fully understand the complexity of the plot or can predict the future, because our social psychology is just as complex today as it was in 1940s Germany and 1690s Salem.

This is psychological abuse by proxy. This behavior may be the result of compliantly “following orders” of their leaders, be they men-in-white-coats or some other narcissist in a position of authority. It may be fear-driven because they’ve been brainwashed into believing that your compliance is necessary for their safety. Ot they may be narcissists themselves who get narcissistic supply out of being controlling and abusive. See The Dark Triad.

The Sheriff and others in Salem Village also profited from the execution of their neighbors as the property of convicted witches was confiscated. Tracing the relationships among the accused and accusers indicates that, conveniently, the “afflicted girls” often singled out those with whom their parents had property and financial disputes.

Flying monkeys are those who defend the narcissist and their world-view and in so doing perpetuate narcissistic abuse. Apathetic dismissal of the victim’s experience tacitly condones the abuse, and is similarly harmful.

Also while Milgram experiment is running we also have the Stanford Prison experiment running now in USA. The democrat radical left is willing to do anything to maintain power. Our nation is in an extremely dangerous place.
